I'm back from Phoenix. It's too hot to live there.
(As an aside, I was in the gallery listening to some of their floor debate on the many immigration bills, and listening to the reps talk about illegal immigrants "draining the resources of the state". If I wasn't there advocating for my own org, this is what I would have said:
People who decide to live in the middle of the damn desert, with suburban sprawl as far as the eye can see, with little or no public transport, with every building air conditioned all year round, with outside areas "misted" with water to keep people cool, with golf course greens to keep up with expensive irrigation, with every other car an SUV, and with a state that catches fire every year, should NOT be talking about draining resources. Or at least not without seeing the irony of such statements.)
Anyway, I'm back. The meetings went well, the hotel was nice, the direct flight from PHX to BWI is a popular one, there are so many idiots travelling it's amazing people can make it through their day, I took the Marc to the Metro to get home and did it in an hour and a half, door to door, I'm tired.
We have a wedding to go to tomorrow (must get a present), and no other plans for the rest of weekend except organizing, cleaning, etc.
For some reason I just had two doughnuts. Must get back to the gym.
